Project Description

The Dorothy Quintana Community Center was completed for the City of Miami. Gulf was awarded the project as a result of winning the competitive formal bid process. The Community Center provides a place for children and families to gather and provided much needed jobs to the community during the construction phase. The new building provides public restrooms, covered terraces, and a playground area to serve the neighborhood activities and summer programs. In addition, the building houses the staff offices of the Parks Department and the Wynwood/Edgewater Neighborhood Enhancement Team. The project was changed to seek LEED Silver Certification after construction had commenced. The project has achieved LEED Gold Certification.
