Joe Pinder Administration Building

The new Joe Pinder Administration Building replaced the old facility and consisted of a 3 story, 38,000 SF hurricane hardened structure over ground level parking with Class A office space, public lobby with support services, Board Room, and ancillary spaces. The new administration building was designed to implement Florida Green Building Coalition standards along with the needed programing to modernize FKAA’s services.

SFRTA Pompano Beach

Design-build contract for new construction of a 4-story, 474-space parking garage and a 3-story, 75,000 square foot operation center that included approximately 70,000 square feet of offices, a 3,200 square foot customer service and dispatch center, and a 150-seat board chambers. The project included CCTV, card access and fire alarm systems.

The Tri-Rail Pompano Beach Station Improvements portion of the Project included the demolition of the existing platform and the construction of a new 23,000 SF state-of-the-art station. The new station included solar power, LED lighting, new bicycle lockers, dedicated alternative fuel-source parking, electric vehicle charging stations, and a crossover bridge. The existing station remained in operation throughout construction. The Project was certified LEED Gold by the USGBC.

Anidjar & Levine Office Renovations

The project consisted of renovating an existing 3 story, 15,000 square feet building located in Ft. Lauderdale to be used as Anidjar & Levine’s Main Law Office. The restoration on the exterior consisted of:

New 3-story entrance feature
Replacement of all exterior windows to impact rated
New exterior stone façade and paint
New roof system

The interior renovations included:

Build out of interior office space to accommodate 60+ employees, including several executive office suites
All new HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
New restrooms, executive restrooms, and staff kitchen areas
Existing elevator renovation

Miramar Multi-Service Complex and Fire Station 19

The Miramar Regional Multi-Service Center & Fire Station 19 was completed for the City of Miramar under a GMP contract. In addition to the fire station, the 43,333 SF Multi-Service Center houses various city offices, bill pay centers and provides social services for senior citizens and city residents. The Fire Station replaced the trailers in which the Fire Department was previously located.

Miramar Fire Rescue Station 107

The City of Miramar Fire Rescue Station No. 107 is a new 14,000 SF station that includes three apparatus bays, seven standard bunk rooms, a Captain’s office, bathroom, and bunk room, a Lieutenants office, bathroom, and bunk room, a Battalion Chief’s office, bathroom, and bunk room, a three shift kitchen facility, a dining room, a gym, bathrooms, a community room, a conference room, a day room, a fire equipment room, a cascades room, a laundry room, various storage rooms, backup generator with 72 hours of fuel, and a traffic signal along Miramar Parkway for emergency vehicles.

Immokalee Administrative Center

The Immokalee Administrative Center. Gulf Building completed construction services under a GMP contract for this three-story administration facility in Collier County, Florida. The facility includes multi-purpose areas, a commercial kitchen, a state-of-the-art heliport, executive offices, conference rooms, boardrooms, and a library. The Seminole Tribe uses this facility as a senior center for the Tribal Elders.

Miami Metrorail Control Center

Modernization of MDT’s existing Metrorail Control Center (MRCC) to provide improved operations and maintenance of Metrorail facilities and systems and to improve response times to critical safety and security events. This project included the development of existing office space to accommodate the modernization of the existing Central Control facility and systems, including the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors, power distribution units, multiple server units/ banks, uninterruptible power supplies, electrical systems, and existing systems hardware and software. All work was done while the Stephen P. Clark Government Center and the existing Central Control Center remained fully operational 24/7.

Miami Country Day School

Gulf Building was been chosen as the structure contractor for the Miami Country Day School (MCDS) Center for the Arts. The new building is for kids from PK-3 to 12th grade. The arts center includes: exhibit spaces, a dance studio, ceramic room, as well as a 650 seat auditorium. In addition to the center for the arts, a new parking garage with 300 parking spaces was added. The new Center for the Arts opened during the 2016-2017 school year.

UCF Libra Parking Garage

Indian River County Judicial Complex (Courthouse & Parking Garage)

266,000 SF, 3-story courthouse building with judges chambers and administration offices and a 600-car, 3-level above grade parking garage. The facility included an internal detainee transport system with secure stair/elevators and interstitial corridors; extensive security access control doors and hardware and an inmate/prisoner video and audio monitoring system.

7-story, 566,539 SF precast garage with 1,500 parking spaces for both the general public and hospital employees. The garage includes an emergency generator, fire alarm system, and a glass clerestory structure at the top of the elevator tower.

FAU Parking Garage II

Coral Gables Museum Parking Garage

8-level cast-in-place parking structure with 610 spaces and 25,000 SF of retail and theater shell space. Extensive work was required along the front the project, which included extension of the existing water main, routing of traffic patterns, curb cuts and sidewalks.

University of Florida Transportation Administration Office Building Parking Garage Complex

Built in the core of University of Florida’s main campus in Gainesville, the UF-290 Southwest Parking Garage and TAPS Office Building was a design-build project, consisting of a multi-story office facility and a 946 space parking garage. The Facility has been Certified as LEED Gold.

Consolidated Rental Car Facility

4.5 million SF, 9-floor mixed use facility at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport that included a quick turnaround area (QTA) for the rental car companies and a maintenance area with fueling, washing, vacuuming, and staging for up to 1,000 rental cars. Levels 2 through 4 house a 120,000 SF rental car concession and customer service area plus 1,000 car rental parking spaces per floor. Floors 5 through 9 add another 4,800 public parking spaces.

PBIA – Long Term Parking Structure No. 2

7-story, 3,500 space, 1,421,000 SF precast concrete parking structure that included all related site improvements and construction of vehicular bridges to tie it into an adjacent parking structure and the existing airport terminal. To facilitate use of the pedestrian bridges, two elevators as well as five stair towers were constructed.

Broward County Government Center 1,200 Car Parking Garage

6-story, 385,607 SF parking garage for 1,2000 cars. Located in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, the garage was designed for the future addition of 2-stories and a helistop. There is a separate parking area for supervisory personnel and County Commission Members on an intermediate level and a ramp that connects the garage with the Broward County Office Building through a covered walkway at the second level.
